WiFi hotspots

With more than 35,000 WiFi hotspot locations worldwide being incorporated in the WiFi 411 Global Directory, it is now relatively easier to find a WiFi hotspot at a site or while taking a tour or traveling.

The user has to select from the fields provided in the directory to view additional roaming locations a WiFi provider may have. A selection has to be made for a provider from the network list and then check the roaming box appearing thereafter. It is also possible to sort results by clicking on the Results Header Bar. Results are sorted by location name, type, city and others. Some companies provide Radius Servers that are quite helpful. A Radius server boasts of excellent performance and is also technological superior. It is a market leader in its class.

A special hotspots/WISP version of the market-leading Radius/AAA server, enables hotspot providers to easily and profitably offer wireless Internet access to customers, while eliminating the overhead associated with customer provisioning, authorization and accounting. A Radius server is particularly suited for security and authentication requirements of wireless based networks. They are also easy for connectivity and allow updating of the system in real time on customers activities.

The problem with wireless access is that connectivity is not possible if the user is not in a hotspot. And with the increase in the number of users, in the days to come, it is only natural that more WiFi hotspots are likely to come up. This will make it even easier for the expanding user base.

Another thing about WiFi hotspots. It is also possible to extend such hotspots to include more people in to it. This can be done with the help of a Router and an also with an Antenna. Many people are going for such solutions to provide users the convenience of going wireless.
