Jaipur To Become A Wi-Fi Enabled Hotspot

The Rajasthan government recently announced plans to turn Jaipur into a w-fi enabled hotspot. The addition of wireless internet access would make it easier for residents and visitors alike to stay connected while in the great city.

"The state government, through the ‘Jaipur WiFi City’ initiative, aims to strengthen Jaipur’s economy and to propel it as a world class city by providing wireless Internet access," a senior state government official said.

The government is currently seeking proposals to build the required infrastructure to provide reliable wireless connectivity to the city. They are also proposing to come out with a policy whereby private service providers can set up their wireless network across the city.
