Verizon Wireless has completed their extensive $180 million investment in network infrastructure in Philadephia. This number is part of $800 million spent in total since 2000.
"Investment in our network is an investment in customer satisfaction," said Christine Baron, president of the company's Philadelphia Tri-State Region. "An outstanding customer experience begins with connecting and holding calls, and customers continue to choose Verizon Wireless because we have the nation's most reliable wireless voice and data network."
Verizon Wireless has been expanding nationally as the result of a huge increase in sales of their products. The company gained 5.4 million customers during the first three quarters of 2006.
