Verizon FiOS TV Heads To Newton, Massachusetts

Posted by admin, Mon, 18 Dec 06 15:48:50 -0500

Another town has succumbed to the might of the Verizon FiOS TV marketing machine. People want it, Verizon Wireless is building it, so who's gonna turn down high-speed internet access (really, truly, lightning speed), with a huge TV bundle that's designed to beat competitors? Not the town of Newton, Massachusetts.

Cohen said, "The city of Newton is pleased to add another choice in cable TV service for our residents. Newton consumers will now be better served with new features, quality service and competitive rates. By granting this license, the city has also secured additional funding for our public, education and government cable-access channels. I am delighted that Verizon will now be an option for cable TV consumers in Newton."

This expansion will affect 200,000 households in 32 communities in the Bay State, who will soon be able to receive service.
