Verizon Declares Dividend

Today Verizon announced that they are paying a 40.5 cent quarterly dividend per outstanding share of their common stock. This dividend will be payable on February 1, 2007 for all shareholders on record as of January 10, 2007. This is the same dividend amount that was paid last quarter.

Verizon is a New York based Dow 30 company. They have 2.7 million shareowners and approximately 2.9 billion shares of common stock outstanding.
