Cingular Opens New Wireless Broadband Network In Frankfort Kentucky

Folks in Frankfort, Kentucky are hitting the information superhighway with even greater speed, as Cingular announces a planned major expansion of their broadband network in that area.

Cingular today begins offering its 3G mobile wireless broadband service throughout Frankfort. Nearly the entire Frankfort area-south to Alton, west past Hwy. 127, north past Peak's Mill, and east almost to Midway-is now a Wi-Fi hotspot. Cingular 3G not only offers advanced wireless services, such as viewing video clips, it also enhances existing services by making them run faster. Customers can now download a game or ringtone, or access e-mail, in a fraction of the time it used to take. Additionally, Cingular customers using a 3G handset can access all the company's data services whenever they're connected to the Cingular network.

The push for 3G is on, and with it comes greater versatility for cellular customers. There are a number of advanced features you can use with 3G service, that are not available otherwise.
