Cingular expands in Albany New York

Cingular has made more significant investments into their network architecture in Albany, New York. The new cell sites will affect the following Counties:

• Rensselaer
• Washington
• Saratoga

Cingular had this to say:

"We know that having quality wireless service and coverage is not only important to our customers, but to our business. We are absolutely committed to expanding and enhancing our network in upstate New York," said Robert Holliday, Cingular Wireless vice president and general manager, upstate New York. "In fact, we have already improved capacity and in-building wireless coverage by investing over $180 million in the region in the past two years."

The Company spent $112 million on their network in this area last year, and expect to raise spending again next year.
