What is Interactive Voice Response?

IVR is something you're already familiar with, even though you might not know it by name.

Think of calling your local bank to check your account information. You're guided through an interactive prompt system which as a pre-recorded voice ask you questions which you answer by using the touchpad, or your voice. This is an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System.
