Recalled Sony Batteries Cause A Spark

If you are using a laptop computer with a battery made by Sony, you might want to be extra careful. Fujitsu just reported that a laptop computer using a recalled Sony batteries caused a spark and could be a potential burn or fire hazard.

According to the news at Yahoo A Fujitsu worker was visiting a customer's home to retrieve the laptop as part of the company's recall of Sony batteries when it overheated and started giving off sparks, but no injuries were reported.

Fujitsu issued a recall on 280,000 batteries due to the dangers this malfunction could cause.

Almost every major manufacturer of laptop computers has issued recalls on Sony lithium-ion batteries.
