Myspace To Go Mobile

Posted by admin, Wed, 06 Dec 06 14:53:44 -0500

Recently Myspace announced that they are making arrangements with Cingular wireless to deliver Myspace to subscribers cellular phones. The website, used by a lot of younger people is the perfect demographic to access the site on their cell phones.

They are hoping that this younger generation of consumers will help to improve stickiness and turn into profitable advertising dollars for movies, videos and other types of mobile content.

It's been rumored that the website has been offered for sale, but to date no such sale has occurred. Myspace.com is owned by News Corp.

I don't know if anyone else here has ever been to Myspace, but making a lot of the super huge pages fit onto a cell phone or other mobile device seems almost impossible, but if they can do it, more power to them. I'll look forward to seeing it happen.
