AOL Laying Off 20% Of Remaining Workers

Posted by admin, Mon, 15 Oct 07 14:31:52 -0400

AOL recently announced that they are laying off another 2,000 employees as they continue to transition from being a dial-up internet provider to being an online advertising company.

This is in addition to the 5,000 jobs that AOL cut in 2006.

AOL announced that they were moving (and closing) their longtime headquarters in Northern Virginia and relocating it in New York City to be closer to the media and advertising hub of the US. Employees that were effected have been notified and will be out of a job before they know it.
