Alltel just announced that Sharpcast Photos has been selected as the standard and exclusive photo sharing and synchronization application for Alltel Wireless' line of Windows Mobile-powered smartphones, including the new Palm Treo(TM) 700wx and the UTStarcom(TM) PPC6700.
This service will allow users to to view and share photo collections from both their cell phones and personal computers.
"We are delighted to work with Alltel which shares our vision of a seamlessly unified view of your photos across your phone, desktop PC and the web," said Gibu Thomas, chief executive officer of Sharpcast. "Sharpcast Photos provides a powerful new way to view and share all your PC photos from a mobile phone, while at the same time eliminating the problem of camera phone pictures being trapped in the phone. It's an important strategic compliment to Alltel's high-speed data network, and a great new way for customers to take advantage of the speed and power of their mobile phones."
Sharpcast Photos mobile edition client transfers pictures taken from a cell phone directly to your personal computer. It also allows people to access pictures from their personal computer via their cell phone. This program automatically synchronizes Phones, PCs and the Web.
