Verizon Wireless Phones

Verizon Communications Inc. was formed when GTE and Bell Atlantic merged to form one company and this has today grown to become one of the leading providers of wireline and wireless communications. Today the annual revenue of the company is more than $71 billion.

Verizon Wireless owns and operates the most reliable wireless network that serves 47.4 million voice and data customers across the United States.

Recently Verizon Wireless has started to sell 3 mobile phones with built-in digital music players to play music. According to Reuters, the company hopes to boost up their revenue even more with what they feel will be a hop feature of the next few years. Verizon hopes to make up in this way the loss due to falling phone prices.

The phones would work on Verizon?s high-speed network, but would not immediately support wireless music downloads. Instead, they will allow detachable storage that allows users to download music from computers.

Thus with phones from Verizon Wireless, a user is able to carry music with him. The Motorola E815 and the UTStarcom CDM-8940 come equipped with MP3 players. The LG VX8100 can also be upgraded at any Verizon Wireless location to include MP3 capability. Just download the favorite CDs to standard memory cards, insert a card into the phone and you will be able to listen to music from anywhere you choose.

In another development, Verizon?s home and business voice mailboxes are now sending Send Alerts to Verizon Wireless phones when new messages arrive.

Verizon voice-messaging customers who also have Verizon Wireless digital service can request the additional feature from Verizon?s landline home and business representatives when ordering voice mail service. They may also add the feature by calling the Verizon service center number on their bill. And another useful information is that there will be no charge for receipt of the SMS alert, which is excellent news for subscribers.
