Verizon drops DSL surcharge plan

Verizon has decided not to purse plans to add a surcharge to certain DSL Suppliers.

The surcharge was to cover costs associated with providing DSL service to customers who do not also subscribe to Verizon's traditional phone service.

No word on exactly why they dropped the charge, but you can imagine it was related to the poor reception by customers.
