Verizon Adding EVPL In The Asian-Pacific Region

Posted by admin, Mon, 23 Oct 06 13:59:10 -0400

Today Verizon announced that they are going to be offering EVPL networking in the Asian-Pacific region.

EVPL is already being used throughout the United States and the expansion into 6 countries is a noteworthy move by Verizon. This addition will allow multinational companies to communicate and operate in synchronicity with each other by connecting WAN's and LAN's. Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan will now have access to Verizon Business EVPL International as a standard service.

"This trans-Pacific expansion is another significant milestone in our global Ethernet deployment strategy," said Tom Roche, vice president of marketing for network voice and data services with Verizon Business. "The simplicity, low cost and flexibility afforded by Ethernet and IP networking, combined with our network reach and service level guarantees, will deliver a world-class Ethernet networking experience to our global customers."
