Oldsmar Florida to get Verizon FiOS

Verizon FiOS continues to expand coverage. You can now add Oldsmar, Florida to the list after the town council approved a plan that would bring the super-fast service to their neighborhood.

The Oldsmar franchise brings competition and consumer choice to nearly 14,000 residents in the city and makes Florida one of Verizon's most competitive frontiers for FiOS services. Oldsmar marks the seventh franchise awarded to Verizon in west central Florida, joining the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace and Bradenton, and Manatee, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. In time, these franchises will enable over 1.5 million residents in Verizon's Florida service territory to enjoy stepped-up competition and more consumer choice for video services in the region.

Verizon continues it's rapid expansion of FiOS. They have a number of sites ready to go-online shortly. Consumers have been reported to very happy with the super high speeds of the service.
