Verizon PDA. Verizon understood that the wireless market was set to boom and as a result came out with PDA phones. The company thus began to sell the popular Treo 600 PDA phone, which combines a PDA, cell phone and portable e-mail with a built-in keyboard. Initially though, the carrier did not sell through retail outlets and started off offering them to business customers from July 2004. On the other hand, many competitors of Verizon Wireless such as Cingular, Sprint Corp., AT&T Wireless Services and T-Mobile have been selling phones for months. Verizon was thus a late entrant.
The carrier Verizon however has advantages elsewhere. The company is the county's biggest cellular operator and has been able to increase their market share since the Treo 600 was released. Incidentally, Treo 600 is considered to be one of the finest best PDA phones in the market today.
