Vonage Barred From Taking New Customers

An Alexandria judge ruled that Vonage can not sell services to new customers because of a patent infringement with Verizon Communications, Inc.

Vonage planned an immediate appeal. Vonage's lawyers argued that the injunction would be almost as devastating as cutting off the 2.2 million existing customers.

Luckily, the judge decided against a full injunction that would've taken Vonage's entire network offline. Vonage has until next Thursday to file an appeal or give into Verizon's wishes.
