Verizon Launches EV-DO Network In Longview, Texas

Recently Verizon announced that they've rolled out high speed wireless internet access in Longview, Texas. The addition of this service allows Verizon subscribers to send and receive Email, browse the mobile web and download content from V-Cast.

“Verizon Wireless is very pleased to provide Longview, a city known for being big on service, the best high-speed data services on the most reliable network,” said Luis M. Cruz, region president for Verizon Wireless. “Longview businesses can now enable mobile workers with BroadbandAccess, and Kilgore students are sure to enjoy the over-the-air downloads available on V CAST Music and video.”

The additional coverage will provide network capacity from US Highway 80 at Sun Camp Road eastward to Lansing Switch Road and from US Highway 259 at Hamby Road in the north to the junction at Peterson Road in Kilgore. The EV-DO coverage also reaches south of Lakeport to the intersection of State Highway 322 and FM 349.
