Verizon Wireless just announced that they are now offering high speed wireless internet access in Raleigh, North Carolina. The addition of this service will give residents, visitors and businesses in the area wireless connections to the world wide web on their cell phones, laptop computers and other compatible wireless devices.

“Due to the growing popularity of Verizon Wireless’ established EV-DO service, we have expanded our service beyond Raleigh, Durham and Cary to neighboring Johnston County,” said Jerry Fountain, Carolinas/Tennessee region president for Verizon Wireless. “Now, more North Carolinians have access to superior wireless data experience while away from the office and full access to their corporate information, just as if they were attached via a high-speed wired connection, but with the freedom of true mobility.”

BroadbandAccess provides average connect speeds of between 400-700 KBPS and rates start at $59.99 with a qualifying voice and new service agreement. To find out more about Verizon's wireless network or BroadbandAccess, please visit Verizon Wireless.
