Verizon Adds EV-DO Wireless Network In College Station, Texas

Residents of Bryan and College Station Texas can now access Verizon's Ev-Do wireless network. The addition of this service means subscribers can access the internet with their laptop computers or other handheld devices at ligtning fast speeds. Coverage includes Texas A&M University and Texas A&M Research University Park.

"Texas A&M University is a major center for advanced research and development and this new wireless broadband service will bring the latest wireless products and services to this community, area businesses and consumers."

Verizon offers wireless broadband connection speeds of 400-700 KBPS and gives access to V-Cast and Get It Now! services to download games and video clips.
