Gainesville And Ocala Florida Benefit From BroadbandAccess Network

Verizon announced today that they have added Wireless BroadbandAccess access in Gainesville and Acola Florida. The addition of this network service will allow customers to connect to the internet to browse the internet, read Email or to download files.

"The Gainesville/Ocala area is growing quickly -- especially the university and medical communities here, which have such high-tech needs," said Mike Lanman, Verizon Wireless Florida region president. "We've invested heavily to be able to provide the entire area with access to the most advanced wireless services, such as BroadbandAccess and V CAST Music and video."

This technology has speeds of between 400-700 KBPS, which means you can connect your compatible cell phone or laptop computer throughout the area without having to use a traditional LAN or cable line. The only required equipment is a network card.
