The newest craze sweeping the nation is free wireless internet. A number of companies have announced plans to offer free wireless internet, but finding a good plan is tantamount to spotting a Unicorn. It's great if it happens, but you may be waiting a long time.
The most ambitious current plan to develop a free wireless internet access network comes from Google, who is building a network which will cover most of the San Francisco area upon its' completion.
You can also find other limited areas where Wi-fi is available, but so far, finding a truly free wireless internet network is still unlikely.
