Almost the entire city is now a wireless hotspot as coverage extends Louisville area-north to Clark County Airport; east almost to the Shelby County line; south to Mt. Washington, Valley Station and Fairdale; and west into Harrison and Floyd Counties-is now a Wi-Fi hotspot.

"People want mobile access to communications and information services wherever they are, whether they are taking in a game at Cardinal Stadium, enjoying a meal at Fourth Street Live!, visiting a client downtown, or working from home," said Jim Thorpe, vice president and general manager for Cingular's Tennessee/Kentucky market. "Our 3G network complements the broadband experience customers already receive at work by extending an 'invisible wire' throughout our service area, making almost any location in Louisville a wireless hot spot."
