Alltel Adds EV-DO Network In Shreveport, Louisiana

Today Alltel announced that they've added EV-DO networking in Shreveport, Louisiana. The addition of this network will benefit residents and businesses in Shreveport, Monroe and surrounding areas in north Louisiana, east Texas and southern Arkansas.
"Alltel Wireless is committed to meeting the growing data needs of our customers," said Joanna Miller, vice president of business solutions for Alltel Wireless in Louisiana. "Axcess Broadband Internet service delivers an unmatched wireless broadband experience that will keep both traveling business professionals and casual users connected with the fastest and most reliable data services."
Subscribers to the service can expect connection speeds of 400-700 KBPS using their internet enabled cell phones, Smartphones, PDA's and Laptops. Service plans for Axcess Broadband start at $59.99 monthly fee.
