Verizon recently announced that they have added the option to temporarily suspend high speed internet access and phones services for summer residents of West Virginia. This option keeps the service intact, but leaves it "on hold" until the customers return the next year.
"For a one-time charge of $18, customers in West Virginia can suspend their phone service and receive a $8 per month promotional credit toward their bill while they're away, which in most cases will result in no monthly charge for the suspension service," said Wesley Chin, product manager for Verizon. In addition, the monthly fee for suspension of Verizon High Speed Internet in West Virginia is being waived for up to six months.
Customers that wish to temporarily suspend Verizon high speed internet and phone services should contact the business phone number provided on their Verizon bill. A rep will ask for your departure and arrival dates at the residence and services will automatically be turned on and off using the dates provided, without any further requirements of the customer.
